Journeying with Mushrooms: A Psychedelic Harm Reduction and Integration Workshop
Psychedelics have been experiencing a resurgence in popularity in the Western world over the three decades, with increasing numbers of people making use of these substances to improve their mental health and well-being, despite its illegal status. With that in mind, Journeying with Mushrooms is a psychedelic harm reduction & integration (PHRI) workshop aimed at reducing / preventing any potential risks & negative consequences that can accompany the use of psilocybin mushrooms for those that are planning to use it of their own volition.
The workshop is presented by Dr Bridget O’Neill Kruger, a Clinical Psychologist in private practice from Cape Town, South Africa.
Participants are offered information on the science behind the use of psilocybin mushrooms, important considerations before embarking on such a journey, as well as guidance on safely preparing for psilocybin experiences and effectively integrating the experience afterwards.
This workshop will be well suited to those who have never used psilocybin mushrooms before but who are curious or planning to use them in future. Individuals who have used psilocybin mushrooms before but had a “bad” or less than ideal experience my also benefit.
IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Participants are reminded to bear in mind that psilocybin mushrooms are currently still an illegal substance in South Africa and most other countries. Participants will also not be provided with any illegal substances or given information on how to source journey guides or psilocybin mushrooms. Lastly, the content of this workshop does not constitute medical / psychological advice or a doctor-patient relationship.
