Trained in animal assisted therapy and working from an Ecopsychology framework in all my work, non-human animals and nature are often called on, both inside and outside the therapy room, to act as co-therapists in the healing process.
Developing and presenting workshops and group programmes related to my professional areas of focus as well as on general psychology and mental health topics forms a regular part of my practice.
Humans have always been beings of ritual and ceremony. A sacred ceremony is a way to mark and process our life events, healing, transitions, celebrations, seasonal cycles, new beginnings and personal transformation and growth. It also grounds us in our connection to ourselves, one another, Nature, the Sacred, and the spiritual parts of ourselves. In my experience, sacred ceremonies can greatly contribute to our healing, mental health and psychological well-being. Accordingly, I design, facilitate and officiate sacred group ceremonies as well as uniquely designed ceremonies in alignment with the needs of the person, couple or therapy process.
Upon request, I am available for public speaking engagements related to my professional areas of focus as well as more general psychology and mental health topics, where applicable.
